It is my pleasure to meet you. My name is Gerda van den Dool. I am born in the year 1988. My hometown is Utrecht, Holland.
In this city I studied Communication Management. My degree is in International Commercial Communications. I choose to specialization because of my love for traveling and different cultures. During my trips I got in touch with the contrasting part of the global beauty. The abuse of human rights and poverty. Being aware of this reality, my aim is to make a change. I put this in practice on my blog The Shiny Planet Project and by participating in several non-profit projects.
My mission is to capture the reality of our planet, by putting it in words or pictures. I developed the love for writing since I could even hold a pen. Nowadays, this passion is my profession. I write for several online and offline media. During my studies, I learnt how to share a message with a specific target group. Offline communication and online communication are both within my scope.
Photography and video is my second big love. It is a the ultimate medium to tell any story on either commercial and non-commercial level. Besides many personal projects, I have done several professional shoots.
